Snowy Garden

A white landscape how I like it

In case you are wondering… Yes, winter has taken hold of ‘Traunsee’ region. For a couple of weeks it has been crucial to shovel snow wherever und whenever one could. The driveway of Kronberg garden was utterly closed by a huge heap of snow, stones and rubble. The snowplough was busy enough to clear the mountain road. So, the driveway has got its share of it. Fortunately, after two hours of intense shoveling, I could stop the snowplough driver for a bit of help. Very kind!

To take a lot of photos, it was just either too cold, or icy snow-drifts forced me to go inside. Otherwise, in this region, it is common to have snow. However, under this years’ extreme weather conditions, small towns and roads in the Alps, not far away from here, are in danger because of avalanches.

I love the snow and the fresh, clean air coming with it. Nature looks so purified and the plants are well protected 🙂

    Hallo liebe Claudia!

    Hi Claudia,
Happy to hear from you again and to see your”domain” covered by snow.
Although it deserves a lot of work, it is beautiful and thus worth it all.
I also admire your resistance. I would have been frozen.

It happens that I was in Wien between 7th and 11th of January, and thought of you, because we heard about the snow tempest in other parts of the country.
Glad to see that everything is well.

May you have a good and satisfying year 2019

    Friendly yours,
    Monique
