Dear Friends,
An eventful, but quiet year for me is coming to an end.
The ’situation‘ dragged us along known structures broken up
and changed our social life. Some things we miss very much,
and yet a lot became possible that could not be seen at the beginning of the year.
It is the time to reflect on what is really important and to rejoice together –
albeit with a physical distance – that we have made it well
through this strange year.
Since traveling – for business and pleasure – was not possible, I made even more use of the garden and the tiny house. To stay there over night still feels like little holiday breaks, not in winter though. This would need a more economical energy supply.
Furthermore, the long awaited acceptance of virtual meetings and home office work made it possible to clear up the rental flat in Germany for good. It’s nice to simplify life 🙂
Every month, I was happily working on my very different (side-)projects until December, when suddenly tasks began to pile up and there was always more to do. Still, I didn’t mind. The world continues to turn even after tomorrow.

Lovely to hear from you and to know all is well with you both. I’m well and have survived all the things that the pandemic threw at us with some equanimity. – walking with friends was still allowed (sadly curtailed to North London but still possible) yoga and Pilates now online, meeting friends and having meetings again possible via Zoom and Doppio was still open for a takeaway coffee. And in the spring and summer gardening has been a wonderful solace. But still . . .hoping for a return of so many things. And can’t wait to have the vaccine.
May better times lie ahead for all of us in 2021.
